It is now more than a year since catastrophe hit our church and we lost our building.
It is going to be a long and involved process to rebuild the Church. At the moment, plans are being drawn up and builders are being found and we continue to have our services in the Uniting Church building on the corner of Fraser Road and Dunoon Road. Anyone is welcome to come along any Sunday morning at 9.30am for our Communion Service.
We should like to thank all the people who helped with the fundraising efforts at the club. The club has allocated $500 to help us get re-established. We are not, as yet, fully aware of what will be covered by insurance, so have asked the committee for a voucher to spend on electrical equipment when the time comes. Thank you all – again.
We now have our Guild Meetings after Church on the first Sunday morning of the month.
Plans are well under way for the re-building of our Church. Next week should find us pouring over Architect’s plans. The process is going to be very slow, but, as long as we get it right, eventually, it will all be well worth the effort.
Our Annual General Guild Meeting was held in February at the home of Marie Everingham. It was decided, at that meeting, that from now onwards we shall have meetings after Church on the First Sunday of every month instead of during the week. Anyone who would like to come along and join us would be most welcome.
