Our end of term concert and morning tea provided the perfect opportunity for children and parents to collect produce from our kitchen garden.

Term 2 always seems to pass quickly with an emphasis on sporting events such as the Cross Country and Athletic Carnivals as well as teams playing in the knockout comps for soccer and Rugby League.

The damp weather has provided a different start to preschool for 2008. Being inside and on the verandah allowed for a cosy family atmosphere. The new preschoolers have settled in well and we’re all enjoying their company.
Our AGM was a great success, with most of last years committee staying on board, with renewed enthusiasm, ready to launch into many new and exciting ventures. We recently purchased a compost bin, which has generated a focus on creating a sustainable kitchen garden. The aim is to provide for the children an environment to encourage the growing and cooking of their own produce.

Modanville Public School News

This year should be another challenging and rewarding one for our students and staff at Modanville. Term 1 is always a busy one with new classes settling in and new routines being established. Teachers have conducted after school information sessions for parents to acquaint them with the programs and class organization.
This year we have welcomed 15 new Kinder students and 4 others in higher grades. We hope they are settling in well to our school environment.
