The internet really is an amazing place. It reflects all that is good, bad, indifferent and slightly absurd about those curious bipeds that created it.

The millions of Microsoft users the world over are rejoicing. Could the software megalith finally be abandoning it’s warehouse of unwieldy PC applications?

Some of you may have seen the term ‘Web 2.0’ in your travels around cyberspace accompanied by, like so many other things on the web, an implicit assumption that you know exactly what that means. ‘What happened to Web 1.0?’ you may have asked?
The web was initially a way for computer geeks to talk to each other and share information on each others computers. It was very complicated and very boring. Then a commercial use was found for it and it became little more than a giant advertising board.
