Dunoon Rural Forum Update

Monday March 17th saw Lismore City Councillors hold a Rural Contact Forum at Dunoon Hall. Below are some topics raised and council’s response:

Dunoon Public School News

We had an excellent Cross Country at Corndale School on Friday 9th May. Perfect weather for everyone to get outside and enjoy a picnic lunch while watching the races!

Corndale Public School News

It has been a busy start to the term with the establishment of a new learning area in our old residence to accommodate the Infants class due to the removal of our demountable.

Dunoon PreSchool News

We shook out our tail feathers with all the collected dew and damp from term one, and ran excitedly into our back garden.

Celebrating Mothers

Mother’s Day means many things to different people depending on their circumstances.

World War 1 Treasure Uncovered

Dad operating the radio: My father is on the right in this photo taken in 1916. Note how huge the size of the radios were in those days.

During April this year there have been a series of old photos appearing in the “Looking Back” section of The Northern Star newspaper that were taken by my father Richard Betteridge in the 1920’s.

Little Athletics

Little Athletics season is over and will resume in fourth term, look out for sign-on notices in August. We are desperately looking for two more volunteers to help coach our Little Athletes -

What Is Happening At The Anglican Church of St. Matthew's Dunoon

It is going to be a long and involved process to rebuild the Church. At the moment, plans are being drawn up and builders are being found and we continue to have our services in the Uniting Church building on the corner of Fraser Road and Dunoon Road. Anyone is welcome to come along any Sunday morning at 9.30am for our Communion Service.
We should like to thank all the people who helped with the fundraising efforts at the club. The club has allocated $500 to help us get re-established. We are not, as yet, fully aware of what will be covered by insurance, so have asked the committee for a voucher to spend on electrical equipment when the time comes. Thank you all – again.
We now have our Guild Meetings after Church on the first Sunday morning of the month.
