Little Fuzu meets his 'zoo mum' for the first time.

After winning the competition to name the new baby gorilla in December last year I finally got to meet him during the school holidays in April. As part of the prize I am officially his “zoo mother” and I won a family pass to Taronga Zoo to meet him. I travelled with Mum to Sydney and we had a great few days sightseeing and visiting friends.

The highlight was definitely our visit to Taronga Zoo. We were given some VIP treatment by Amy who met us early and we watched the gorillas coming out of their enclosure to start the day and we got lots of information from his keepers. We were also privileged to get a behind the scenes tour of the chimpanzees enclosure. Fuzu is absolutely gorgeous and we have lots of photos to prove it.
