WHAT’S FRUITIN’? By The Fruity Farmer

Mandies - the best of the winter fruit

Our former leader, P.M. the Hon. Rodent W.C., spent $15,000,000 telling us of the “War on Terror”
“Don’t be afraid....be a lert” I think I’ve worked out what a “lert” might be. More on that later.

What's Fruitin'? By a Fruity Farmer - Bob's Roadside Stall

It’s fresh , it’s good , it’s close by and its at least half the price you would have to pay after a drive to town…………it’s fruit and veggies and other interesting stuff at any one of our local roadside stalls. Why not save the planet, save some time , then save some money and contribute to the survival of one of our local endangered species; the battling farmer.
For lots of reasons it’s a good idea to buy your fruit, veggies and stuff from one of our local roadside stalls, honestly.

What's Fruitin'? By a Fruity Farmer - Monster Fruit!

Monsteria deliciosa - Monster Fruit

With the district being monstered lately by wild weather events it’s a good time to look at the widely grown super resilient and hardy fruiting vine known as monsteria deliciosa or Monster Fruit.

Lots of local gardens have them and I bet they stood up better than most fruiting plants in the path of the storm. Requiring very little care and attention, the monsteria will thrive in this area if given a shady spot and something to grow up. Like dragon fruit, they cling by aerial roots to a suitable support structure and monsteria can grow in this way up to 20 metres high.
