The Dunoon and District Gazette

December 08/January 09

Editor's Letter

Local IT expert Patrick (Paddy) Curley from NightCap Media has been working hard setting up our new website for the Gazette. Now people from all over Australia and internationally can view the Gazette online.
All sections of the printed Gazette, including this current edition, appear on the easy to navigate site. Earlier editions are archived, currently the Tornado issue and the Feb/March 08 issue are both online with more to come.
One great advantage of a community paper being online is that now you aren’t limited to just reading stories you can contribute to them as well. Every article has a feature that will allow readers to leave comments online, transforming static pages into ongoing discussions.
Local businesses also benefit from the new site with free ads on most pages as well as inclusion in it’s business directory. If you have a web site get in touch with Paddy through the site to set up a link. If you don’t, then perhaps now is the time to get one. NightCap Media is offering a great deal to Gazette advertisers to coincide with the release of our site. Paddy can be contacted on 0432 767 416 or, of course, through our amazing new web site.
So have a look around and enjoy your Gazette in full colour!

congratulations

Congratulations to all concerned with getting this web site up and running - what a great resource for a great community that values its people and will not lay down to uber-development mongers who have no roots in the area and just want to make a quick dollar. All the very best for your future. Cheers "Curly" Bells

Well done Paula

A massive congratulations must go to Paula for all of her efforts in making this site possible. She's put in a lot of time and effort, challenging herself to learn new skills with enthusiasm and dedication. It's little wonder that the Gazette is such a great community resource.
