Dunoon Sports and Rec Club’s bush dance, held on Saturday 6th September, was a foot-stomping, thigh-slapping success! There were many new faces among the crowd of usual members and guests. It was wonderful to see so many people on the dance floor - from toddlers to octogenarians. The kids were the first to get up of course - some of the adults needed a little liquid encouragement before they were game to take part!

Thrillbilly Stomp played great bush dance tunes and all the dances were called so there was no excuse not to join in. Although many of us got confused and danced in opposite directions, it all worked out and we ended up laughing and loving it! Thanks go to the volunteers who provided the fire drums and firewood and the barbecue people. Our Social Committee organise all these events and we are keen for new members. Anyone who can give up a couple of hours once a month, please ring the club for details –
