The Dunoon Hall AGM was held on Wednesday 2nd April 2008 and following nominations for executive positions, a new executive was elected.
New president is Jennifer Juleff with Vice Presidents Barry Griffin and Cathy Patch.
Ian Juleff accepted renomination as Secretary and Anitra Wenden will take on the role of Treasurer. Bernie Ramsey will assist Anitra as Assistant Treasurer.
The new President and committee made special mention of the work undertaken by Past President Barry Griffin. A vote of thanks was passed by the meeting to acknowledge the important role Barry has undertaken over many years.
The new executive has a number of incentives in mind to improve the hall finances and has hit the ground running with a Mothers day raffle and cake stall outside Dunoon Store that has raised well over $500.
Extra funds will be needed to help repay a Dept of Lands loan of $6500 over 7 years that was obtained together with a grant of $6500 to improve the Hall’s kitchen facilities. The grant was conditional on the hall accepting the loan but overall the $13000 injection will greatly improve the kitchen facilities for all Hall users.

If you are unable to become personally involved with the committee, your support (financially or physically) of any fundraising activity would be greatly appreciated.
There are many ways you could help the hall committee and one way could be to come up with a donation from your workplace or business for a future fundraiser. Membership is open to all Dunoon and District community members at the cost of $2 that can be paid at the Post Office. Your support with this small amount would be appreciated.
