
Saturday 23rd May 2009: Water roaring down The Spillway at Rocky Creek Dam after 3 days of flooding rain and gale force winds hit the Northern Rivers Region.James St. Dunoon received 399ml of rain in 6 days. At 13:52 on Friday 22nd May The Wilsons River at Lismore peaked at 10.38 mtrs. By Monday 25th May there were people in the hills north of Lismore still without power and unable to leave their communities. As the low pressure system moved slowly south it was reported that there were an estimated 21,000 people isolated on the mid north coast.
