Notice Board of Sponsors for the Blues Festival Tornado Relief Concert held at Dunoon Sports Club

The Club now has a fund to provide relief from distress caused by the tornado that caused so much devastation in our village. This money was raised by a magnificent effort on the part of local residents and others but now we are faced with the problem of disbursing that money.
The emergency teams performed brilliantly to cope with the immediate aftermath of that storm and our village remains in their debt. We assume that most loss to property was covered by insurance and is being restored . But we know there are many instances of personal loss (both material and emotional) that can never be covered by insurance.
This money was raised in our community and we want it used in our community, so we are calling for applications for grants.
Please do not be heroic and assume that there are others who need it more than you.
Please do not be shy in coming forward. We do not want to pry into your personal life.
All applications will be treated confidentially
Applications for grants will not be means tested.
Please do not be embarrassed. You are part of our community and we would like to share with you.
If you have been affected materially or emotionally please tell us about it. In a few words tell us why you would like to apply for a grant.
Make it brief. Give us a realistic estimate of costs. Remember that the fund has its limits and we want to share it fairly. Maybe you wish to apply for a grant not for yourself but for an amenity that will help restore morale
